Amazing! The best Jamaican spot in New Haven. Reminds me of some of the amazing food in NYC. They have food even late in the night. The place is beautiful with seating inside and out. Definitely a vibe!

Was visiting friends ..drove up from New London and decided to try some jamaican food .. nice location ,but no parking ..we had to park few minutes walking distance by the Diner restaurant. Was greeted well, customer service was superb. Interior space nicely decorated..the place was empty..decided to order Oxtails, & my better half Jerk Chicken.. quite pricey if you ask me though.. $35.00 for Oxtails..three of them just bones no meet..guess it was luck the draw..don't mind paying the price , but the rice should've been fresh..didn't fancy it bit , thought it was bland.. Aside from that , I still left a hefty tip..supporting local diverse spots..wish them well.. -Sam

Easy takeout pickup on my way home through Uber Eats. Fast 15-20 minutes pickup. Great Jamaican food. Prices went up a bit recently but still very reasonable even with inflation. Container may be small but it is packed full! Order the extra side of Plantains, since the meals only come with 1 piece! Jerk chicken has a bit of a kick for those who like spice. Mac and cheese is a hit with the kids. No parking in front of restaurant but there is a lot next door that works for parking after 5pm.

I searched for years for good Caribbean (Jamaican) food in New Haven and it was always a fail until Kool Breeze! Since we live close, we've ordered from them several times. The food is always consistent in taste and quality and unlike most Caribbean restaurants they don't run out in the middle of the day. Every single thing we've ordered has been delicious. The fish, oxtail, Mac n cheese, Calaloo, patties and the yummy red velvet cake. I only wish they offered a "vegetarian plate" as I always have to order a bunch of sides to piece something together. Also, the service is great! There is a young woman who always notices my order online and is super sweet. There was one day when a Door Dash delivery driver dropped the ball and she called me personally to rectify the situation. She even knows me by name "Dr. J" or my husband when we pick up food. So happy that they have been successful throughout the pandemic and proud to support a Black & Caribbean business doing a great job.

A new Jamaican cuisine in the area. The first time I ate here I had the escovish one of my favorite dishes. The fish was a nice size but the sides rice and peas and cabbage were very small. Maybe the to go container does not allow a decent size portion. Food is clean and flavorful. Service was good I will stopping in often for their spinach patties.
